Resumo
Due to the risk of fire, oxygen compressors are distinctly different, from machines for other gases. Consequently, it must be ensured through active and passive measures during construction, selection of material, manufacture, cleaning, erection, commissioning and quality assurance that any danger is excluded. The way in which a compressor is depressurized in an emergency and use of a fire wall ensure in the most unfavorable case, that damage to the facility and the hazard for the surrounding area are kept to a minimum.
